Who reads HOSTING123
hosting123.org is read by people actively deciding where to host something: site owners comparing shared and cloud plans, WordPress users picking managed hosting, developers pricing game servers and NAS setups, and beginners working through our Hosting 101 and guide content before their first purchase. It is a high-intent audience in a commercial niche, which is exactly why the boundaries below matter: the audience is valuable because the editorial is trusted, and we will not spend that trust on an advertiser’s behalf.
What we offer
- Display advertising: standard ad placements across the site or on category pages such as WordPress, Cloud Hosting, Game Server, or NAS content, always visually distinct from editorial content.
- Sponsored content: clearly labelled sponsored articles on topics relevant to our readers, subject to the strict conditions below.
- Affiliate partnerships: if you operate a hosting product with an affiliate program, we may join it. Read the next section carefully before pitching this, because joining your program buys nothing editorial.
What is not for sale, at any price
These are the refusals that keep the audience worth advertising to, and they are not negotiable:
- Reviews and scores. You cannot pay to be reviewed, to be reviewed sooner, to raise a score, to soften criticism, or to remove a review. Reviews are produced by the process on our Editorial Standards page, from accounts we buy anonymously.
- Rankings and comparisons. Positions in comparison tables and “best of” lists are set by test data. There are no sponsored slots inside editorial rankings, labelled or otherwise.
- Undisclosed placement. We do not publish advertorial disguised as editorial, and we do not sell links inside review content. Sponsored material is labelled as sponsored on the page, unambiguously and above the fold.
- Reader data. We do not sell or share reader information with advertisers. Campaign reporting is aggregate only, as our Privacy Policy requires.
Pitches for any of the above are declined, and persistent pitches for them are the fastest way to end a conversation with us.
Sponsored content rules
Sponsored articles are accepted only when all of the following hold: the topic is genuinely useful to hosting buyers; the sponsorship is labelled clearly at the top of the page; the article carries no review score and is excluded from our comparison rankings; factual claims in it survive the same checking we apply to our own work, per the Fact-Checking Policy; and the sponsor understands that a sponsored article about a product does not restrict, delay, or influence any independent review of the same product, before or after. If your product later scores badly in a review, the sponsored article does not protect it, and knowing that in advance is a condition of buying one.
Acceptable advertisers
We accept advertising relevant to our readers: hosting, domains, email services, developer tools, security, backup, and adjacent products. We decline advertising for products we consider harmful or deceptive to our audience, including “guaranteed ranking” SEO schemes, and we reserve the right to decline any campaign that fits poorly with the site. Ad creative must not imitate editorial design, review scores, or our comparison tables.
